Q: How about the study environment on campus?

A: Having access to great deal of information is easy with on-campus Wi-Fi and millions of books in the library. In our leafy surrounds, there’s always a spot for your quiet study life.

Library: Our library covers an area of 23,000 square meters, with a stock of 1.68 million volumes of books in Chinese and foreign languages and 30,000 bound volumes of newspapers and periodicals. We also subscribe to over 2,400 journals and more than 200 databases. About 1,823 seats are offered in the reading rooms.

Observatory: Co-built by Shandong University, Chinese National Astronomical Observatories and Weihai city, our observatory has the largest caliber space telescope among all the universities in mainland China. It is also a national-level center for science popularization.


Q: Is there any fitness facility on campus?

A: The on-campus sports center is a diversified sports venue integrating swimming pool, gymnasium, badminton, table tennis, basketball and volleyball, aerobics, martial arts and other training programs to meet the sports needs of students and teachers in all aspects. Besides, our standard track and field stadium could hold large outdoor sports meetings. There are also football pitches, tennis and basketball courts on campus to satisfy your needs.


Q: Is it convenient to eat on campus?

A: Five dining halls on campus can hold 4,000 people dining at the same time. There are also bakery shops, coffee houses, milk tea shops and supermarkets right on campus. In addition, shopping malls and restaurants could be easily found around campus, with a wide selection of food served to cater for various tastes.
