Climate in Weihai
Weihai has a temperate monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. The lowest temperature in winter is about -10°C and the highest temperature in summer is about 35°C. The average daily temperature for admission in March is 3℃~10℃, and that for admission in September is 20℃~26℃. You can bring your own necessary items according to the season.

④ 4 passport size photos (33mm×48mm, colored in white background)
⑤ The graduation certificate, transcripts, HSK transcripts, Physical Examination Form for Foreigners and other documents required to be submitted when applying for admission
⑥Other documents required by the school or that may be needed during the study period.
Tips: Keep at least two copies of important documents. Before going abroad, it is recommended to translate important documents such as name change certificate and family relationship certificate (if necessary) into Chinese and notarize them.
Accommodation Registration
International students must make an accommodation registration within 24 hours upon your check-in to any places in China after arrival.
Students who live on-campus should register at the reception of your dormitory.
Students who live off campus should register at the local police station with documents as below:
a. For those who owns a property outside the campus:
① A copy of the property ownership certificate
② Passport
③ A copy of passport information page and a copy of a valid visa
b. For those who rent an apartment outside the campus:
① Original copy and photocopy of lease agreement
② Copy of the property ownership certificate of the landlord

International students must report to local police station regarding changes of address, passport information, visa and residence permit, and re-entry records. Failure to register within the prescribed time will be deemed as illegal residence and imposed a fine (RMB 200 per day).
Campus card
1. Main functions of the campus card
① Valid on-campus identity authentication.
② Consumption in the campus canteen, water control, stores and stadiums.
③ Library borrowing.
④ Access control for teaching buildings, libraries, laboratories and other places.
2. Campus card recharge
① Self-service cash recharge machine recharge.
② Alipay recharge: Campus Life-充一卡通.
③ WeChat virtual campus card: follow "山东大学校园卡" WeChat service account, which includes three main functions: online recharge, micro service hall and V card.
3. Notes on the use of campus card
① The campus card is a contactless IC card, which cannot be dropped, bent or punched; please do not put the card near high temperature or strong magnetic field.
② Within 30 days after the issuance of the campus card, if the card cannot be read or written normally for non-human reasons, the card can be replaced for free; for other reasons, the application for a new card is subject to the payment of a fee.
③ Important information is printed on the face of the campus card, please take care to protect the card face and avoid wear and tear.
④ The campus card is for personal use only and cannot be lent to others.
⑤ Anyone who forges or steals another person's campus card will be held legally responsible.
⑥ If you find other person's campus card, please submit it to the campus card service point.

Apply for a SIM card
Before registering, you need to apply for a Chinese SIM card. Both SIM cards of China Unicom and China Mobile can be used on campus.

Vehicle Driving Safety
China does not recognize driving licenses of other countries. If you need to drive a car after coming to China, you need to take a test and apply for a Chinese driving license.
Driving motor vehicle after drinking is deemed as a crime in China.
